Save time & money with Factory Pre-hung Door Sets
for all your remodelling and new development needs
Hanging doors is an art as well as a craft. Get it right and you’ll probably never ever notice. Get it wrong and you’ll forever be plagued by hinges not working together, unsightly gaps between door and frame, or so tightly fixed that they won’t close properly,’ leaning’ doors that seem to swing open or close by themselves, and latches and locks that are not properly matched to their keepers being insecure and unsightly. No wonder then that, faced with disappearing trade skills, it can be difficult to find a skilled carpenter able to do this job properly.
And if you can, there is still the issue of cost. Hanging doors can be time consuming as well as difficult.
Our answer - Pre-hung door sets
Your doors are perfectly fitted in our factory environment, complete with high quality hinges, latches (or locks) ready for you to fit handles, knobs, pulls, etc. and decorate to suit your interior design. Door frames (linings/casings) come with separate door stops (matching strips) that can be fitted over the frame fixing screws. Plain pine door linings are most commonly used, but the option of primed pine, MDF, or oak veneered MDF is available. When used with an intumescent strip the oak veneered and primed MDF linings can be used with the internal moulded, flush and Dordogne Oak fire doors.
Contractors and developers can now specify the particular door and ironmongery required to compliment the quality and standard of the properties being built or remodelled.
We will then manufacture internal door linings and pre-hang the doors in factory controlled conditions. The resultant pre-hung door sets are then easily slotted into position on site, minimising the need for skilled on-site labour as well as lengthy and complicated in-situ 'door hanging'.

Door & Frame Sizes & Details
Although we generally work using ‘disability’ size door openings, sometimes architects, designers and builders want to use different sizes, for example with cupboards and stores. Sometimes the height of these may be cut down to suit, for example, low eaves where attic trusses and ‘rooms in the roof’ are being provided. In these cases, we adapt our frames to suit whatever the opening is and whatever the door size is required. While internal door frames, or linings, are usually 38 x 108 mm prepared stock, rebated to take doors, these can be of any size required.
Types of Opening
Our pre-hung door service was developed especially to satisfy the increasing demand for us to supply high quality interior factory prepared and/or assembled joinery for our houses, schools, health sector and other engineered timber frame structures. However, we are just as happy to supply pre-hung door sets for block, brick, stone, and other openings for both new and refurbishment projects.
Type of Timber
We usually use Scandinavian whitewood for frames / linings, but any soft or hardwood can be supplied to suit your project. Where fitted to timber frame openings this is not usually treated, but can be treated if required to suit ‘wet trade’ environments.
Types & Prices of Doors
As manufacturers we have account arrangements with most door manufacturers. Accordingly, we can supply practically any door that you choose. We also have our own range of very fine doors for you to choose from. Equally as important for you, because of our buying capabilities, when you order pre-hung door-sets from us you may find that the cost of the whole assembly is little more than the component parts.
