This is NOT your everyday 9-5 job. It’s about helping other people build their dreams, homes, designs, and businesses as part of our team. To succeed you need a “Consultative” sales approach and some construction knowledge.
Unlimited earnings – expect £40+K min. in 1st year – selling ‘best in class’ components and buildings to architects, self-builders, and developers for a ‘Grand Designs’ featured group. Help develop our product range, build repeat custom and earn £100K or more thereafter. Develop your own business team helping others construct Low Energy buildings using Timber Frame, SIP’s, CLT, Glulam, Green Oak and other designer materials.

Our factory in Caldicot, SE Wales (just off M4/M5 junction, between Bristol & Newport) serves the whole of the UK, Channel Islands and parts of mainland Europe. We are proud of and passionate about what we do.

Britain needs hundreds of thousands of new homes and other buildings, yet faces a complex structure of regulation and price constraints. We solve the technical and design issues to manufacture and build them, delivering part or full ‘structural shells’ and specialist components for clients, their architects and builders.
Experience & Knowledge
Since our markets are about to explode we need experienced sales professionals with construction knowledge to call on architects, builders, developers, self-builders and builders merchants; consult with them on their projects or client’s needs, provide the ‘helping hand’ that they need, and develop long term relationships for repeat business.
These include (see links) Simply Self Build, Fast Frame Systems, SolidLox, TradTruss, and Timbertecs. Web sites for other brands are in development. As ‘full service’ timber engineers, we provide clients with the option of buying a single or a hybrid system, including Oak Feature Trusses, vaulted ceilings, real or ‘faux’ exposed posts and beams, and more.
About the Opportunity
We provide you with hot leads for some products, but you will also cold-call on industry buyers, specifiers, and you own contacts. You will sell Timber-frame , SIP and CLT structural shells plus a range of linked ‘up-sales’, like insulation, doors and windows, roof coverings, wall claddings, stairs and other joinery. You will also act as a liaison between customer and office, monitoring accurate and timely delivery as well as satisfaction on completion.
Big Ticket & Modest Sales
Sales values range from a few thousands of pounds for components to between £30K and £50+K for individual house shells. Depending on brand and product, sales can take from one to several months in gestation, so we allow 4 months’ probation for you to show what you can do. To help your finances we pay a small advance on commissions where firm sales are pending. After confirmation of your long term appointment excusive territories for some brands can be built in, while others, e.g. for regional or national accounts, might be negotiable. Once you have shown your ability to close and see sales through to final completion, we will consider extending your coverage geographically and in time indefinitely.

Full Service Control
As Designers, Manufacturers, Builders and ‘full service’ providers we are uniquely placed to service the new markets being created by government policy and public demand. Many of our products occupy a unique niche in our market place and we have sole and exclusive control over these. Our management is well established, with long experience in the timber, construction and house-building industries.
Getting Well Paid
Commissions are paid on time and fairly, with no messing about. When you make a sale you get the commissions and residuals as promised, even if the customer reorders on the internet without you even knowing. Once you have made a sale to someone they are your exclusive account to sell to again. With the market poised to explode there’s more than enough room for everyone, but you will need to maintain contact to maintain this exclusivity.
Our problem solving skills are quite well known in the industry and we support and promote this via carefully positioned adverts, directories and regular PR campaigns – they could even feature you with one of your projects soon. However, we’re always open to new ideas and new ways of getting the word out about our brands, so talk to us about your ideas and we’ll see how they can be incorporated.
Do YOU fit this self-employed sales professional opportunity?
Obviously you will be dynamic, stylish and interested in new homes and building supplies. You’re probably already selling into similar or related markets. But you will also have a good grounding in construction, able to talk knowledgeably with architects and designers, builders and self-builders.
Ideally you will already have an extensive network of contacts within one or more of our market sectors. But if you haven’t then you can build up from the basis of leads and territory that we initially allocate to you. Ideally you will also have some qualifications and experience in construction, perhaps as a tradesman, related profession, or project manager.
Besides direct field sales, we’re also considering the establishment of an affiliate link system for on-line only salespeople, so please contact us if you are only interested in on-line sales to discuss this.
Ideally you will be able to discuss technical issues with architects and builders, enjoy helping self-builders, be up to speed with fast changing standards in our business environment, and relish the opportunity to introduce and sell new services and specialist products.
You will also be able to read construction drawings, have good math, spatial & IT skills + CAD familiarity.
Training & Support
However, you are not expected to know much of this from the outset, so on-going training will be provided as part of your CPD - Continuous Professional Development – (Yes, we’re serious about being truly professional). You’ll also get e-mail, ‘phone and skype support to help you operate remotely.
Whatever your preference, even though you may prefer to operate individually, we will look to you to be part of our corporate team because we know that by supporting one another – Together Each Achieves More.

You will be smart, have excellent written and spoken English, be up to date with your knowledge of presentation and sales techniques, have proper concern for clients and their needs, and be proud to represent our highly qualified organisation over the long term.

You will have a fully functioning home office, good knowledge of MS Office programmes, fast broadband, smart phone, IT interactivity, and your own transport.
Working partly from home and partly from our offices / network, you will be ready, willing and able to service existing clients and enquiries whenever required, build a base of repeat customers, and grow and maintain sales funnels for more than one service or product.
